Who we are

Treeline is a service operated by Tea Powered Projects Limited ("we", "us"), the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 10542712, at C/O XNM Accountancy Limited, Creative Suite 1, Mill 3, Pleasley Vale Business Park, Mansfield, NG19 8RL. Our ICO registration number is ZB004209.

What this policy covers

This policy covers the personal data we handle through this website: enquiries you send us, and how you use the site itself.

It does not cover the staff data you upload into the Treeline product. There we act as your processor rather than the controller, and that relationship is governed by our data processing agreement, which you can ask us for at any time.

What we collect

• Your name, email address and anything you write to us. To answer you and to keep a record of what was agreed. Lawful basis: legitimate interests, responding to an enquiry you started.
• How you use this site. Which pages are read and how people move through them, measured by our own analytics running on our infrastructure rather than a third-party service. Lawful basis: consent.
• Error and performance data. When something breaks we record what happened so we can fix it. This runs on Sentry, self-hosted on our own UK infrastructure, so no third party receives it. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.

Cookies

We use one first-party cookie, and only if you accept it.

• session - groups your page views into a single visit, so we can count visits rather than raw page hits. HttpOnly and Secure. Expires after 30 days.

That is the complete list. We use no advertising cookies and no social media tracking, we let nobody else place tags on this site, and we store nothing in your browser's local storage. There is no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, and no Meta or LinkedIn pixel.

When you first visit, our banner asks whether you accept. Accept and Reject are equally prominent, and rejecting takes one click. If you reject, or ignore the banner, we set nothing. You can change your mind at any time, and we will ask again after 12 months.

We keep the resulting usage statistics for three years.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not become customers - 12 months from your last contact with us.
• Customer records - for the life of the contract, then 12 months.
• Invoices and accounting records - 6 years after the end of the financial year, as tax law requires.
• Website usage data - 3 years.
• Consent records - until you withdraw consent, plus 12 months so we can evidence the withdrawal.

Who else sees it

A short list, deliberately. Everyone below is bound by written terms that impose the same obligations we owe you, and we stay responsible to you for what they do.

• DigitalOcean - hosting, compute and DNS. United Kingdom, London.
• Backblaze - encrypted offsite backups. European Union.

Your data is stored in the United Kingdom. The only routine copy held elsewhere is the encrypted offsite backup in the European Union, which is covered by the UK adequacy regulations, so no further transfer safeguard is required. Our error monitoring is self-hosted on our own UK infrastructure and is not a third party.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to have it ported elsewhere. Ask at hello@treelinecharts.com and we will answer within one month. There is no charge.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time, and doing so does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

If you think we have got this wrong, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.

Changes

If we change this policy we will change the date at the top. If the change is significant we will say so rather than hoping you re-read it.
